Question
This is Excel Homework.
Type the number one in cell "A1", and have A2 through A5 be populated with a function which returns the value of the cell above it plus one. Type the value ten in cell D2. Type a function in cell B1 which takes the value to the left of the cell and multiplies it by the value of D2, and then drag the function down through B5. The formula should automatically update to include whichever cell is to the left of the target, but not move the reference to cell D2. It should look something like the image below, where the black numbers are typed in directly, and the green and blue numbers are automatically calculated from one function each. Your submission does not need to be color coded 1. L12 10 20 30 40 50 2 2 10 4 4Explanation / Answer
Answer#1
Type the formula in cell C1 AS =A1*$D$2
Type the formula in cell C2 AS =A2*$D$2
and drag the cell down as much required.
Answer#2
Type the formula in cell B2 AS =b$1*$a2
Now you can drag to right & down get the multiplication table.
Answer#3
you can use this example and substitute the parameters to get desired result
Example:
One face of a copper plate is 5 cm thick and maintained at 500C, and the other face is maintained at 100C. Calculate the heat transferred through the plate.
Solution:
Given parameters are,
= 370,
dT = 500-100
= 300
dx = 5.
Substitute the values in the given formula
JHc = dT / dZ
JHc= 370 x 400 / 5
JHc = 29600 MW
