I agree with the sentence that America is a Drug Oriented Society. It has been consuming drugs for medicinical purpose, health benefits and sometimes for other recreational activities. But over the period of time it has changed. Now few of the banned drugs can be used into medicines for their health related purposes. So in a way, people even for health benefits are regularly consuming drugs whether prescribed or generic drugs which proves that America is a Drug Oriented Society.

While there are many policies associated with drugs usage like criminalization which poses a threat and makes it illegal to grow marijuana or consume it. Decriminalization policy talks about allowing the usage of marijuana for medicinical purpose only. Legalization policy was talking about making marijuana legal and harm redcution policy was to allow consuption and growing marijuana for self purpose only.

While policies allowing marijuana growing at controlled factors are very good but open market for marijuana will have very negative impact on the youth of the country. Also for Medical purpose, personal consumption etc are a way that can be allowed but there are loopholes into the policies that are already existing which poses a threat for successful implementation and monitoring of policies.

Controlled and Certified growth of marijuana will be the only option where in if one has to do plantation of marijuana, they should inform government, take prior approvals & certification and submit reports on timely manner along with the data. Also inspection team should be formed for such kind of plantation initiatives. Apart from this, Government can supply through its controlled distribution centers.
