Yes, the government should also continue to regulate the exportation of encryption technology to foreign countries, excluding those that support terrorism as it does now because various potential threats are posed by exportation of encryption technology to foreign countries, irrespective whether such a foreign country support terrorism or not. Also, since the domestic use of the same has become rampant in the country, this regulation has been necessary. In addition, in order to control the arms-related materials and cryptography, Government need to continue regulate the exportation of encryption technology to foreign countries. Further, there also needs to be a control in the spread of strong encryption across the world which could only be possible if the Government regulates the exportation of encryption technology. There are also potentialities of the criminal use of the encryption technology, especially in the case of unescrowed encryption. Hence it calls for regulation.
