a.In order to manage the meeting between teams in gulf and US I would prefer late evening in gulf countries as it would be working time for US teams and the time would be convenient for both the teams since it would not affect their daily routine. But we need to give more preference to US time as we are trying to enter the US market. I would send a meeting request and decide the time considering the availability of team members from both regions. The place of meeting does not matter for the conference calls and for video conferencing the company conference rooms would be arranged as everyone from same region can be included in a single window. The language should be English as it is understandable for most people across the globe and is the formal language for business.
b. In order to manage the outsourced project successfully I need to plan the entire activities to achieve the project goals efficiently within the budget. I need to plan my offshore activities carefully because there are many limitations to manage an offshore project in-house project. The team members are not under my control and I need to make sure that the team is working as per the organization’s expectation. I would provide enough training to the offshore team through video conferences and other communication tools to ensure that the offshore team understand our project goals and work as per the procedures and expectations. I would share all the documents related to the project with the offshore team that would help them to do their work efficiently and make sure that the project documents are accessible for the off shore members. I would set the preferred time for regular meetings so that the timings are convenient for both in-house and offshore teams and the team members can plan and be available on the time set. I would inform all the team members to share their performance data and their concerns to find the areas of improvement and to guide them better.
c. I would advise the team to work as per the organization’s expectations and drive their performance to achieve the individual as well as organizational goals.
