a) Several Companies have implemented the ERP system. let's take the example from Same domain industry i.e., Chocolate industry
while Cadbury ERP system was a huge success but the Hershey's was a nightmare.
Success: Cadbury, LG, Whirpool etc.
Failure: Hershey's, Vodafone, PG&E etc.
Reason for failure: Strict time, Security, Data issue etc.
Success: Better Implementation with proper time and in phase development, proper testing.
b) Selection Issue: From 100's of the ERP system available in the market, we need to choose accordingly.
Create the questionnaire of type,size and scope. filter the most appropriate one which serves your business need.
Technology issue: Selecting a proper technology which will serve your needs, modern technologies need modern hardware so updation of networks servers are needed to absorb the new workstation. Underestimating the needs always creates the problem like the performance issue which will slow down the business at last.
Data Quality Issue: The most important thing is the data restoration while importing the legacy files into your new system. Data loss is the worst among and it leads to failure. vodafone lost its data while moving to a new system.
Business Change: ERP brings changes to a company business model and the day to day practices it has been using for years. Using future-looking ideas when implementing ERP, it is definitely possible to get a return.

Oracle: 2nd in the whole ERP system market and 1st in the CRM market.Very flexible module, therefore, much customizable. The products belongs to the high-price band.
SAP: The largest player in the ERP market Infact ERP is now synonyms with SAP. it is very pioneer in the ERP market. The products belongs the high-price band.
Depending on the business requirement I will choose the ERP system. If It is a small business then I will go for Microsoft one and If I am the market leader I will go for SAP
