Technology has made our lives easier. Striking a balance between the work life and the private time is very challenging to most of us. We keep racing against the time to maintain the same. It is even hard to imagine washing all the clothes by ourselves, preparing food in the traditional brick-wood oven system, reaching the workplace by the traditional modes of transport such as the use of bullocks to pull the cart, hose-carts, etc. and then end of the day, still managing to find time, to sit, turn on to some relaxing music, watching Television for entertainment, surfing on net and networking with people around the world, playing video games or using mobile phones for several reasons apart from just calling purposes.

Yes. We are indeed blessed in this generation to have the accessibility of the Technology. I do not need to stand in a long queue to withdraw money any more. I use ATM. I do not have to always resort to the ‘Brick-and-mortar system’ stores to avail my groceries, apparels or various other products, I can surf online. I do not even have to spend hours in the line to pay my bills. I use e-payment systems. If I had to physically run around the places to get these work done, my private time would have got utilized in all these activities, sparing very little time for relaxation because the next day, I would have had to run to get back to work.

Thanks to the technology that has been hence a positive contributor that I often use my mobile phones to pay the bills, even while I am on the way to work and at the lunch breaks at our Office. I can call for a cab even without waiting for a lift after my office hours, by using the applications to book a cab from my mobile. By the time I reach home, I can get the groceries or vegetables delivered at my home. I can call for weekend parties without taking leaves from my office to organize the same owing to the technology.

It is therefore that I believe that on a large scale the use of technology is a positive contributor to having some balance between work and private time.
