An MNC who is planning to go for product selling in some 50 countries requires a huge thought on how it should strategize. When product is Mobile Phone, the we have to look at various factors before entering into the market and then specifically strategize for that market and go ahead.
Thus it is always good to have a multi domestic strategy because If you are selling iPhones is US where you have a great market for such product but if you want to sell the same product into african countries, your market decreases steeply. Also Business Policies, Politics, Law & Order, Logistics, Costs, etc are again very domestic issues that you have to deal with from country to country as they differ every time. This way you need more customized approach everytime you enter a new market/country. Thus it is recommended that a multi domestic strategy is better than global strategy or transnational strategy.
