1.Distributed denial-of-service is a cyber attack in which multiple compromised computer attack a target and cause a denial of service for users of the targeted resource. it slow down or even crash and shut down.

2.Prevention:

I) Ensure there is an excess of bandwidth on the Internet connection.

II) By using intrusion detection system (IDS).

III) By using DDoS protection product.

IV) By using throttling and rate-limiting technologies.

V) By maintaining a backup Internet connection with a separate pool of IP address for critical users.

3.Detect:

DDoS can be detect by solid patch management practices, email phishing testing, proactive network monitoring, inability to access any web site

and alerting.

4.Remediate:

Remove application bugs in the system and update protocol installation.
