b) Discuss the similarities and discrepancies.
Similarities - The functions which are common in almost all word processing softwares/tools have similiar meaning in terms of its implementation and hence will always be categorised under a common heading. Eg. Save, Save All, Exit will always be under "File" Heading.
Discrepancies:- Sometimes, couple of functionalities are grouped under different headings as per the word processing tool, as this depends on the decision of the Manufacturer/Developer who developed the Tool. Eg. In MS Word Mailings contain Send Email and Receive Email functionality whereas NotePad++ we have "Send via Outlook" functionality under "Run" heading.
