intellectual property in simple language can be understood as an invention ,it can include anything like design , creative work any product designed ,symbols etc it also includes brand names, discovery , inventions, knowledge, registered designs, music . It is one of the tradable properties in the digital world .
and to give it recongnition and to protect one's idea this include few laws among them ,there are three main important things which comes under intellectual property:

there are so many intellectual property rights which provide legal security to unique ides or product here in this case volta company needs to take care and use these laws to protect their new car invention from copying

Volta specifically can patent its clean energy engine novel in this way :as it has to fulfil three criteria

and all three qualities are possesed by this novel by VOLTa as concept is very new and it will be very beneficial for the world /public . if launched practically . and it is launching very first time .
