Explanation / Answer

There was an event in which I had to go against my Factory manager. It so happened that a line worker had to go to the washroom during which some components got rejected. He was blamed for the loss and was supposed to pay penalty for the loss. I knew that the operator was sick that and defended him, finally got proof from the resident doctor and presented to the Factory Manager. That way the issue was resolved.

Had I implemented avoidance style, the operator would have paid the penalty and in turn a conflict between the union members and management was due.

If I had employed the accommodating style, the same result as above would have occurred. Because had I remained silent and more accommodating type the repercussion would have been there.

Had I implemented the win/loss style by takin the winning side as that of the Factory Manager, still the same result would have happened as above.

Had I implemented the problem solving style, I would have prevented that event from happening. The action I took to benefit both the side by presenting the doctor's diagnosis report was also a problem solving effort, that I did.

Had I implemented the compromising style, perhaps I wouldn't have retaliated, wouldn't have earned respect from neither the manager nor loyalty from the workers.

All these tell me that I focus on solving the problem, but I need to improve on that, to avoid such unpleasant activity from happening in future.
