Should everyone know how to code?
Software development teams typically include highly technical individuals and non-technical users. This presents a fundamental communications problem. We probably all know someone in each camp....a programmer who, while brilliant with code, is not a good "people person" and someone who is a subject matter expert on a business process but not very savvy when it comes to technology. Both are essential to the success of the project. We need to bridge this gap. Some might suggest that everyone should learn how to code, almost from birth! That seems a little unfair as if we are expecting the business side to learn how we do things on the technical side. But, then again it might just work over time. In the meantime this is still a challenge. Do you believe that the Unified Process based on Object-oriented development provides us with the best way to help all project team members speak a "common language"? Why or why not? Do you have any other suggestions for improving understanding among team members?

No its not necessary fro everyone in the team to know the code. Team should be formed with below requirements
1. Backend developers
2. Front end developers
3. Testing team
4. Scrum master and Technical manager
It will be the duty of technical manager to fill in the gap between technical and non technical. He need know how to code but he should be fully aware of how application has to work. this is something like he should know what will happen if he clicks on something but he need not worry about how it is working. Bckend team will develop a database and all required stuff while front end will handle all the data and present it to the screen. testing team should make sure that all functionality is working fine as per requirement.
In the it will be the duty of technical manager to fill this gap.He should prepeare proper documentation to present it to users/product owners
