Solutions:

41. Node A has to resolve the domain name www.gap.com using DNS server (200.100.100.99).

To resolve domain names, DNS is used. and the IP address of DNS in this example is 200.100.100.99.

42. Node A generates a broadcast using ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) protocol to resolve R1’s IP address to its Ethernet address.

ARP is used to get physical address (MAC address) using network layer address (i.e, IP address).
