The company in question is "cabelas" which manufactures accessories fecilitating activities like hunting, fishing and shooting among others.
The company uses Search Engine Optimization to good use. It appeared in topmost position when searched on google, bing and yahoo. The keyword search using words like "Hunting accessories", "shooting gear" and "Fishing supply" also feaured cabella at first or second place along with other companies like tackledirect. The google search is more interactive and informative for users as it also provides related twitter and youtube posts, maps and nearby store locations. Other search engines like bing, also gives tripadvisor ratings and links to its page on twitter, instagram, facebook and youtube, along with information on its competitors. It is active on all social media like youtube, twitter, instagram and facebook among the others. The posts on these media are infromative, interactive, attractive and participative providing the users with information on interesting facts, sales promotions, new products and social events relavant to the company as well as sharing their experiences and prompt he user to explore for the activities of his / her interest. The landing to the main page through the post is promptly done. The landing page is designed well to give ample information to the customers and capture their activities, searches and preferences on the page so as to use it for electronic promotion of the products on web pages. On the page, there are links for enabling customer to know more about the products and purchase online. The customer support section on the page also provides links to land on the social media pages as well as link to contact and email.
The site needs to improve its data capture capabilities to know more about the visitors regarding their preferences, demographic statistics and based on the timings and frequency of the visit, promote the customized offerings of the company to them on one to one basis. It will improve the conversion rate. SEO rankings are ok, but can be improved by including more keywords and combinations thereof, related to the products of the company to keep it at top of the search list. The email should be concise, should include catchy words and should also include customized promotional offers exclusively for the recipient, based on the information gained through site visit or otherwise. The social media presence is sufficient but can be improved with addition of few more upcoming platforms. The social media content can be improved by segregating topic wise / activity wise information on the page so that the user can reach the desired part of information quickly in least possible time. The landing page can be made more attractive and temptng with use of attractive visuals / multimedia and highlighting blockbuster deals that may prompt the customer for a puchase.
