PTC CREO PARAMETRIC GENERAL QUESTION: Dont answer unless you know please,I made an assembly out of 8 parts. The assembly was completed and was saved. I tried to reopen the assembly and it gave an error message saying: the model failed to regenerate. I would like to know how to fix this. I still have all the parts. Thank you. Materials Model Tree Warning This model failed to regenerate. You may enter Creo Simulate with the mode un analyses or standard design sudies and wew the results However you cannot run sensitily and optimization design studies unte regeneraton talures are resolved Do not show tis waning again for the current mode

Regenerating Models :
When Creo Parametric regenarates a model, It recreates the model in order in which each feature was created. Components feature recreated in order in which they are created (as Parent - Child) and in same way added to assembly.
The Regenerate command located in Model that allows us recalculate model geometry till the last changes made. If no changes are there system inform that no changes are made. You can use Regenerate to find bad geometry, broken child - parent relationships or any other problem with respect to part or assembly.
Reason of Failure in Regeneration :
1. Bad geometry in one or more feature.
2. If component or feature is missing from the model (i.e. can't find working directory)
To regenerate Model :
1. Click on Model Tab and next to it Regenerate click it.
2. Creo parametric rebuilds your changes in part or assembly model.
3. If fails, Creo Parametric enters to Resolve environment. (Failure diagnostics window open and provide info. about failed features and provide info. about resolving it).
