This is part of a project: We are a consulting firm for business and financial strategy. We are creating a business plan and every week we are asked to complete another portion of the plan in this team project. This week my portion is on the obtaining of financial revenue for the company to continue to grow and giving us a reserve large enough to stay on top of the technology in business for our client's giving them the top of the line consulting services as technology continues to change daily. Also having the funds to pay for overhead costs, payroll, benefits, and continued training for our expert staff.

My portion is:

Identify possible sources for investment capital if required (friends, family, banks, USSBA, etc.).

I am thinking, ASSBA, possible Grant for low income start up companies to improve the community, Investors locally and internationally, also possible thought of employee owned stock or trading plublically to obtain the necessary global funds needed to expand, assist communities (small businesses) and remain on top of the newest education and technology needed to be above competitors and wanna be consultants.

Explanation / Answer

As the firm is into consulting business, the initial investment capital is relatively lower as it doesn't require any equipment ot own building to operate. All the firm needs to invest in is the human capital as it is critical to develop the frameworks, models and tools to implement solutions to the clients.

Hence, below are the various options of raising investment capital -

1. Firm's founders and partners

2. Individual investors

3. Angel investors

4. Bank loans

5. Offering stockoptions to the employees with less in hand salary component for a year or two
