I need help with the excel functions "IF" and "Convert". What is the formula for a-d below?

*** Create an Excel worksheet that will convert inches to one of the following metric units:
millimeters, centimeters, meters, or kilometers depending on the magnitude of the given value (Note:
1 inch = 2.54 centimeters). Use the following rules to determine which metric unit will be shown:

(a) If the given value is less than 1 inch, convert to millimeters.

(b) If the given value is greater than or equal to 1 inch but less than 100 inches, convert to centimeters.
(c) If the given value is greater than or equal to 100 inch but less than 10,000 inches, convert to
meters.
(d) If the given value is greater than or equal to 10,000 inches, convert to kilometers.

Given

            Value=0.04inch

It is less than 1 inch.so convert the units of value from inches to millimeters

0.04inch=(0.4 inch)(2.54cm/1 inch)

            =0.1016cm

Converting from cm to meter

.1016cm=(0.1016cm)(10 mm/1cm)

            =1.016 mm
