Implement a menu-driven event calendar that can be used to view a monthly calendar, view the events planned on any given day, add an event, and delete an event. In addition, the program will allow the event calendar to be persisted to secondary storage.

Program Flow

The program will provide at least the following menu options: Menu:

1. Display Calendar
2. Display A Day's Events 3. Display All Events
4. Add Event
5. Delete Event
6. Exit

1. Display Calendar – the calendar displayed will be the current month’s calendar in the following format:

In the above output, [25] signifies today’s date and the dates with the asterisk signify that there is an event scheduled on that day.

2. Display A Day's Events – the user is given a prompt to enter a date. The calendar will then display all the events scheduled on that date. For example:

3. Display All Events – all events available in the calendar are displayed, organized by date

Design

The program should be based on the concepts of Object-Oriented Design. It should have at least the following 3 classes:

- Event
o An Event will have at least the following attributes: date, title,

description, location

- Date

o A Date will be able to hold at least the month, day, and year.

- Calendar
o The Calendar class will hold a Date and a list of Events. The Date will

be initialized with today’s date (ie. the date of the day that the program is executed). The events can be kept in a list container available in the C++ Standard Library header: <list>

Persistence can be achieved in any way you prefer. The simplest way would be to read a specific file upon program invocation and overwrite that same file before program exit. You only need to persist the list of events that the calendar is holding. When the user chooses to exit the program, you can fetch the list of events from the calendar object and write each event out to the file before program exit. Then, when the user chooses to run the program again, it will read that same file (or preferably ask the user for a filename to read), read each event from the file, and add each event to the calendar as it’s read.
