Answer 1:- Week Sales 1 432 2 396 3 415 4 458 5 460 In the naïve method of forecasting, the sales of last period is assumed to be the forecast of the next period. Thus as per naïve method, the forecast for the 6th week will be equal to the sales of 5th week i.e. 460 units. In simple average, we will take the average of all the sales figure. Thus, forecast for the 6th week = (430+396+415+458+460)/5 = 432.2 Three period moving average = (415+458+460)/3 =444.33 units
