In my opinion, TFA teachers need not to intern with the school first teaching disadvantaged students as they are already get enough training and material to understand the sensitivities and procedures to deal with the young students of the disadvantaged school.
If the interning clause is made mandatory, these schools will definitely fall short of teachers as the long interning program will take time and many teachers may not opt for it.
Moreover, their training provides them enough exposure and good material to do their teaching job effectively and take care of the educational needs of the children.
2. Rating School Performance

It will be a better idea to rate the performance of these schools separately. Both the type of schools has different infrastructure, teacher-student ratio and most importantly, almost a different quality and background of students. So, the performance of such schools may fall behind when compared to the urban schools which has all the necessary facilities and exposure to train their students well.
The state should devise a different method of performance rating for backward schools keeping in mind the unique requirements of the children studying in such schools and their soci-economic background plus different learning needs.
