Process for building an effective team
1. Defining roles and responsibilities:
- In order to build an effective team, the first process would be to define the roles and responsibilities of each team member.
- Keeping in mind their strength and weaknesses, I would allocate the below roles and responsibilities for each team member accordingly
• Strategy formation:
- I would allocate this work to Tina. Since she is good in Planning and marketing she can come up with innovative ideas and can build strategies around the entire business processes.
- Strategy formation would lead only less leadership skills and hence her performance wouldn't be affected.
• Production:
- Would allocate Paul into this work, since he is good with acquiring resources and attending meetings which is the core of any production process
- his weakness of timelessness wouldn't matter much for the work.
Financing:
- would allocate Sylvia for cost budgeting and financing.
- She can build pricing models for this project.
Groundwork:
- Julio would best fit for groundwork since he has qualities like project management and construction
- Hexan also work as team lead since he has the management qualities
2. Building the team:
Once roles and responsibilities are allocated each member can use the other members strength in order to complete his or her work
3. Monitor:
To build an effective team the leader has to be monitor and guide the team members.
4. Training: Final step is to train the team members in what ever skills they lack.
