I believe that yes the company should go ahead and launch its product. The company is first mover in this field and will get an advantage of beginning first mover. But it should also keep in mind that the world is not about first mover but the Fast Movers.
The organic sport drink in a new but potentially lucrative market. The youngsters are focusing more on their health resulting a growth in the market. The organic food and beverage industry has enjoyed 11% of growth in 2015 compared to 3% overall food and beverage market. The customers are demanding p[products made with natural ingredients. Now a days coconut water, smart waters has seen rapid growth in their business.
Right now the company does not have competition in this segment so it should Lunch its product and enjoy the market share. As there is always a risk of the new product acceptance among the customers but risk is always there.
As far as the first mover is concern it means the first one to introduce or innovate. The company has launched the product/ service before the competitors.
