Question
In my career, I have often heard colleagues and other health care employees comment on renovations that are made and how “they could put that money in my paycheck”; however, think about how you feel when you choose a hotel to stay at – What do you look for? What do you expect? Would you stay there if the floors were dirty? If you didn’t feel safe? If the environment was “dated” and not modern? As you ponder these questions (you don't need to answer them for the assignment), realize that the same holds true for health care organizations. Patients expect a certain “environment of care” when they come in – and even more so because they don’t feel well.
