Question

) The following program is a list of instructions for the Basic Computer in hexadecimal code. The computer executes the instructions starting from address 100.

What are the contents of AC and the memory at address 104 when the computer halts? Show the instructions in the sequence that they are executed.

See Mano’s problem 6-2 and the answer in the Module 3 conference in Note 5.

Location Instruction
100 2107
101 7020
102 5104
103 7001
104 0000
105 7200
106 C104
107 9876

Location Instruction
(Symbolic Op codes) comment AC

The accumulator (AC) has the value ____;
memory location 104 has the value ____

Explanation / Answer

AC refers to the accumulator, I guess there is a error at 103 when 0000 are present. What do 5103, 7200, and 7001 refer to they will be instructions in hex code which have been executed effecting the accumulator. I don't know...... maybe accumulator is adding the values in binary 5103 = 0101 0001 0000 0011 7200 = 0111 0010 0000 0000 7001 = 0111 0000 0000 0001 => 0100 0011 0000 0100 (first block does full cycle) This equals 4304 maybe if it can exceed the bits given it would be 19304 Im totally guessing
