Answer 4: We would need the paragraph, case to answer this.

Answer 5:Expectancy theory is a motivation theory first proposed by Victor Vroom of the Yale School of Management and by definition states that an individual will behave or act in such a manner that they expect the results of the expected results of that manner. Hence in other words every individual will act as per the expected outcomes of that act.

Managers can use this theory to motivate people if they have set the defines behaviors and the results/outcome associated with each behavior. In case of such a well defined setup every individual clearly understands the expected outcome of his good/bad sincere/laxed behaviors. This motivates the employees to perform better as they have historical examples of good behavior/hard work getting rewarded for sure.

A) List four of the major considerations when building a group into an effective team. (4 points)

A group becomes a team only when their collective performance is greater than the sum of their individual performances. From the many considerations the top 4 one would be

B) First of all, all the team members need to possess an above average EQ wherein they can easily understand the human emotions behind words, actions, reactions, goals, motivations etc. This prerequisite is most important as without it, all leadership talks, motivation thrusts will fall on deaf ears.

Next is the culture of honest and enough communication whereby each member can freely express his opinion about the product being designed and give, accept each others’ feedback. This would ultimately result in a great design for the product.

Workload distribution is also very important so that each member sees a good role of his efforts, contributions towards the end goal. Also too much of load on a few members affects the performance of the overloaded members and thus the product design would suffer.

Throughout the project, there will be ups, downs and it is imperative that each member maintains a good attitude towards each other and also towards the common goal of the project at all times. This aids the team to sail through bad times and stay positive, creative throughout and emerge successful in the end.
