Explanation / Answer
1. I work in the publishing industry. The publishing industry is one of the oldest industries. In this industry, we need to network with authors, source content from them, get it edited and validated, content is formatted and then printed to be distributed in the market. Therefore, publishing industry requires authors, copyeditors, subject-matter experts, graphic designers, and printers. Publishing companies have publishing plans set in the beginning of a year and as a manager, I ensure that we publish books as per the publishing plan.
One of the most important challenges in this industry is to control various aspects of publishing projects like the deadline, quality, and cost. All projects are unique and have a unique challenge. Each project provides unique learning opportunities. Stress is a regular part of the job as publishing requires constant follow up with authors and other stakeholders.
