Explanation / Answer

in point to point configuation all the channel capacity isused only for two computers which are used both sides of thewire. In bus topology only one cable carry trafic for all computersand all computer share the cable, so full capacity for all time isnot available only for two computers. Fault findings are very easy in point to point conection if aconection fails all the other will work perfectly and you are notworried about them. Go only that link and repair it. In the bus topology all the computer are sharing same cable ifcable breaks full networks is damaged. No system is able totransmit or recieve data.
