"To solve daily life phenomena and problems electronically theconversion of digital signal to analogue is always more effectivethan converting analogue signal to digital" Do you agree with this statement? I agree with the statement that conversion of digital signal toanalogue is more effective than conversion of analogue to digitalsignal.
Digital signals are non-continuous, they change in individualsteps. They consist of pulses or digits with discrete levels orvalues. Analog signals are continuous electric signals that vary intime.
Digital signal can convey information with greater noiseimmunity, because each information component (byte etc) isdetermined by the presence or absence of a data bit ( 0 or 1).Analog signals vary continuously and their value is affected by alllevels of noise.
Digital signals can be processed by digital circuit’scomponents which are cheap and easily produced in many componentson a single chip. Again noise propagation through the demodulationsystem is minimized with digital techniques. Simply put in ananalog signal, you have to worry more about the degradation of thesignal, a digital signal is much simpler because you are justsending a 1 or a 0, on or off this also allows for much higherband-with ( the amount of information that can be transferred atonce). For example when TX data is transferred from one computer tothe other using a public telephone line original data is digitalbut because telephone wires carry analog signal so digital data isconverted into analogue signals.
1) Digital signals typically use less bandwidth. This is justanother way to say you can cram more information (audio, video)into the same space.
2) Digital can be encrypted so that only the intended receiver candecode it (like pay per view video, secure telephone etc.)
3) Digital signals do not get corrupted by noise etc. You aresending a series of numbers that represent the signal of interest(i.e. audio, video etc.)
