A photograph of a woman giving Trump's motorcade the finger recently went viral. He had left his golf club in Virginia and came upon the woman on a bicycle. Now, she has been fired because of the picture. She admitted to her bosses at the government contracting firm, Akima LLC, that she was the woman in the picture. They claimed she violated their social media policy even though there was nothing on her social media linking her to the firm (Dvorak, 2017).

An interesting twist is that she was in charge of the firm's social media while she was employed there and had recently flagged something inappropriate that a senior director had posted (Dvorak, 2017). His profile clearly listed him as an employee of the firm. He was not fired.

I think this is an example of cultural perspective. Everyone is aware of what the finger gesture signifies. In this case, many people could relate to the use of the gesture, while others were angered by it. Of course, it depends on what side you are on in this country. Here is the link to the story:

Explanation / Answer

Here are some issues in media now a days..

The media have high level of inaccuracy. People have very low confidence in media.. A research done by USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup found that only 36% of Americans belive news channels st the fact straight. This was 54% in 90s.

As per American Society of Newspaper Editors in 1999, 23% of public found factual errors in the news papers in a week. Nearly 35% found spelling/grammar mistakes in newspapers.

The above study also found that about 70% of American adults have doubt in the news about their facts.

Only 51 percent said the facts in the story were reported accurately, with the remainder finding errors ranging from misinterpretations to actual errors.

American Society of Newspaper Editors says that they found in their study that the as per 80% American journalists have focus on Sex scandals, murders, Rape etc because this gives a large viewers as well as news paper get sold heavily.

48% think that they have found misleading headlined once in a week.

People claim that news channels have poor coverage on the crucial issues.

As per data reporting on national affairs by the news magazines has declined by 25 %, while stories of celebrities and entertainment has been doubled.

Good amount of numbers of Americans give low ratings to the media for school coverage.

The media is showing paid news. Paid news means someone pays him to run news in his favor or against his/her opponents to get political benefits.

Future Effect-

The future effect is that the majority of country people will loss their faith in news channels as well as news papers.

Media is considered to be the fourth pillar of the society. But it would become trust less.

This will have effect on politics as well. By paid news some leaders will advertise themselves as a good person and a undeserving candidate will start ruling on us.

The facts and figures will be hide and this will lead the corrupt people to make more fraud because very few people will be there to report fraud.
