Due to ongoing attacks on major businesses, colleges, and the federal government , it becomes extremely important for me to keep my passwords, financial, and other personal information safe and protected from outside intruders & cyber-attacks.Even government is not able to protect my information & I am extremely concerned about my data available with them.There's also an abundance of information about me which is available on desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices and it becomes extremely important for me to protect it from hackers, malware, and other threats. I have never been a victim of compromised information due to cyber attack and here are several precautions taken by me to avoid it in near-future:
a) Using incognito mode in browser to browse Banking websites.
b) Using Good Anti virus program on both mobile/desktop to avoid any Viruses/Malwares
c)Regularly installing OS Updates & Patches
d)Securing Wifi network at home with strong Password.
e) Using Ad blockers to avoid profile creation of habits from third party pixels.
f) Using & Downloading Applications on both Mobile & Desktop from trusted stores.
g)Using secure passwords
h)Overly cautious when sharing Personal information to Third party site
i)Transacting on E-commerce Sites if they have SSL Protection only.
j)Properly disposing off old devices
k)Using Advanced Authentication methods such as 2 Factor Authentication or SMS when logging
These are some of the major precautions taken by me in view of cyber attacks.
