America is one of very few countries which have sports as part of the college experience.

And, college sports is big business and big money for the colleges with successful sports programs.

Some argue that college sports is just a big training camp for professional sports; others see sports as some student's tickets to a better life; and others point out how only 6.5% of college football players ever make it to the pros because there are in fact few job opening each year.

The NCAA makes the rules colleges need to follow in order to compete; and, some feel these rules are unfair to the student athletes.

Although the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) is regarded as the leading regulatory body concerning college sports programmes of various universities and colleges in the United States of America thereby assisting the sports student in competing, it has been found that there is a huge rise in the ethical violation of rules in the college sports. Some of the major athletic or sports issues which are involved in NCAA unethical practices of various colleges are:

2. When the National Basketball Association (NBA) draft is affirmed by a basketball player after one year of his/her college, it is known as "one and done rule". It may not be a fair rule in terms of satisfying the educational criteria of a professional basketball player. Since in order to be selected for the NBA draft, only one-year college qualification is required it would really be an early and improper recruitment of the student basketball player.
