Canadian or a U.S. manager should know about the dealing with the workers in INDIA that still after the ages of independence and few more years to become one of the world’s top leader India economy is a labour intensive economy, people here are ready to work at a very low cost, which is the reason behind the why multinational corporations outsource business activities like customer service and quality to Indian Business process outsource houses. Despite of being an labour intensive economy there is no compromise done here in the terms of talent while the hiring process of an individual ,Having a large number of choices gives the organization a first-hand to hire the best suitable candidate for them which later realises as an asset to the organization here. People in India are Multi-linguistic with following a variety of religions and having very different political opinions which are sometime being connected to their personal sentiments, although the business language around the country is English yet in some parts the local language is being mixed with English is order to create a better understanding for the employees. Commenting upon these issues sometimes lead to dirty discussions which will ultimately harm the harmony among the employees of the organization.

Organizations In India follow a strong hierarchy which helps the employees to achieve their goals on time, while hierarchy is more of a proper chain of people which helps and control each other to communicate through a proper channel.

The clock time and being on time is very important but in some cases if someone has good reputation in the organization a little exemption can be made.

Factors like age and experience of an employee is given a higher priority to respect others while someone having a very sound knowledge of their particular background is also treated with respect.

Sometimes miscommunication can happen with other employees on the basis of language different phases means totally different in different languages such as if an British employee says “knock you up” which means will knock on the door an American employee may get offended with this phases. Using gestures like ‘OK’ hand sign ,peace or thumbs up on pointing finger at something may be disrespectful to some employees in other in different culture. While intruding with someone’s personal space can also offend someone.
