The U.S. government has charged him with espionage (U.S. vs. Edward J. Snowden Criminal Complaint). Snowden maintains that he is a patriot, that he disclosed the information for the greater good of society, and that society has a right to know the information.

Although the U.S. government has charged him with committing a crime, does Snowden’s belief that he was releasing the data for the greater good outweigh the law? What is your position?

Yes edward snowden did a great job by releasing documents to public.Although illegal but considering the acts of spying and secret surveillance of NSA,this release will result in sparking a debate that could ultimately force a needed overhaul of the NSA's surveillance programs.

The activities of NSA secret surveillance chat be justified and the common man has the right to privacy which will be breached by this kind of monitoring of activities.

When we talk about moral values and ethics the act was unethical but it is also unethical to monitor personal life of citizens.

So yes my stand is that his acts are justified and the documents released would help in making the citizens aware about it.
