Question

For its 2016 Training Industry Report, Training (2016) surveyed more than 600 U.S.-based corporations and educational institutions. Training delivery was one of the topics explored. Seventy-three percent of the survey respondents reported that they use online training methods such as virtual classrooms, webcasts, and video broadcasting; approximately 31% of all training hours were delivered by online or computer-based technologies (Training, 2016). Have you participated in any electronic training at work? If so, how well did the e-training comply with the Gagne’s Nine Step Training Design model (discussed in Week 5) and Adult Learning Theory (discussed in Week 4)? Based on what you have learned so far in the course, what could have improved your learning experience?

Explanation / Answer

Q1.

The participation in the electronic training at work is a quite wonderful opportunity. It has almost given a wonderful and knowledgeable experience.

Q2.

The online e-training was quite more structured than week 5 and week 4 given training. Based on the procedures of the earlier week 5 and week 4 given training it was comparatively well designed and mostly planned. The areas and factors which have presented in the online training were all covered as the working guidelines which were required to be followed in the work were completely discussed and the new areas like doubt clearing sessions, individual training related queries were also fulfilled in the online course. The qualities of understanding were quite easier as compared to earlier weeks. The topics that were discussed are prone to concepts and the processes of delivering lectures are same as the physical classroom. The entire process was very easier and comfortable to undertake live sessions.

Q3.

The learning experience has improved a lot; the areas which were quite difficult to understand became very easier to gather concepts on that particular topic. The open live interactions of asking the unsolved/tough topics have become very easier to understand with e-learning. Many new areas of learning activities have also involved into this domain so that it became easier to get some more ideas and improve the theoretical portion of the topic. Some major portion like practical experiments is shown which gives a better idea to tally things with theory. Moreover, the one to one interaction has quite given a bunch of good experiences in e-learning activities and it has also helped to learn individual concepts, doubts, and other important necessary requirements to clear it from the online e-learning session
