Explanation / Answer

Resume is the first introduction of the person.People try to make
it more and more impressive to attract more attention. In the efforts
od doing so many times they end up exaggertaing things out of
proportion and that is where a line has to be drawn. A per the blog
50% of the people lie on their resume. Many times such things happen
when we are very close to what we are depicting in the rseume. Various
example have been cited in the blog like being short of few credits
in erning the degree, impressive job titles as one is doing all that
in the current job, claimin team contribution's as their own. These
things are called rationalization meaning creating a justification for'
a decision that is actually flawed. Then there are other tests like
"other shoe test" or "front page test" which actually put oneself
into a position whether his/her resume is correct or not.But then
the bottom line remains no one wants to sell oneself short. In doubts
one should consider taking help from senior people.
