Authentication : It is the process of verifying the the identity of any user. Like if someone is trying to login using his id password. If he types in the right one than authentication will be done to check if the already saved data matches with the one entered by the user. If it does, than access is provided.
Authorization Rule : This rule basically provides the authorization to users in terms of allowance or denial. It basically deals as 2 rules. i.e allow and deny. In Allow rule,a list of user is defined who are allowed or granted permission to have access to various apps, sites etc. Whereas Deny rule contains list of members users etc which are not allowed to have access to various apps, sites etc.
Backup : To have an extra copy of the important data stored on any external storage device or any online storage cloud in order to have a recovery if that data gets deleted or lost from the main memory is known as backup.
Commit :
Concurrent Update : When multiple sessions of databases are allowed to update at a single point of time than it is known as concurrent update. The data keeps on udating constantly when a session is eastablished.
Database Password : The password which is used to keep the database safe. Without which no one will be able to have access to the contents stored in the database is known as database password.
Deadlock : A situation in which no process can be completed as the resources acquired by them are reserved by the other processes and none of them is ready to release any of them.
Decrypting : The process of obtaining the original data from the encrypted one by applying various algorithms is known as decrypting.
Encrypting : The process of making the data(plain text) secure by making it converted into encrypted text by the use of various encryption algorithms is known as encryption.
Metadata : Usually the data about some other data is known as meta data. for example : the details about the location, size, type etc pf a particulat file stored in a computer system is known as meta data.
Log : Log is basically the record of the sessions of the users when they were interacting with various systems. The log contains the session start time, termination time etc.
Data Dictionary : The set of information at one place which basically tells about the relations, meanings, formats etc between the various elements is known as data dictionary.
