There are many vendors offering virtualization products deploying Type 2 hypervisor technology, i.e. virtualization applications that must be installed on a Host OS.
Some of these products distributed free under the GNU (public domain) license, or under the "free for non-commercial use" license. Other applications are sold commercially.
For this discussion research at least two (2) of the virtualization products that are based on Type-2 Hypervisor technology. Compare the products and answer the following questions:

The virtualization can be done on both windows and linux even the hypervisor technology is also applicable in both the operating systems.
The main features of windows and linux are as follows:
Advantages windows:
- Windows have the registry it holds application information, user passwords, device information.
- Windows have package managers by which we can see all the packages and services.
- Windows have firewall by which we can protect our PC from malware and virus.
- Windows have interchangebale interfaces we can keep our fav theme visuals.
Disadvantages windows:
- Windows is very costly compared to Linux
- Windows is more prone to viruses and other attacks compare to linux
- windows dont have the Reliability reboot is needed whenever there is a hang in process.
- Windows software are costly like more than $200.
Advantages linux:
- Linux is a open source system we can plan things according to our needs.
- The cost of the linux software is free and cheap.
- Linux will provides us the high performance on workstations and on networks.
- Linux have more Stability compare to windows that means we dont have to reboot our system to maintain performance.
- Linux is used for high performance applications and desktop applications.
- Linux have better security methods to secure the data.
Linux Disadvantages:
- In linux we need to be very patience and we must have the desire to learn and explore it.
- The Software availability is limited.
- Even Linux has improved a lot in ease of use but windows is much easier.
- Linux doesnot support many hardware devices.
Which of these products would you use for your own home computer?
- I would use the windows OS because it has the clean visibility and user friendly comparing to linux.
- And we dont have to learn and have patience to learn about the windows.
- Few services in windows are very useful for personal systems or laptops.
- Even a ley man can use the windows by limnites knowledge but with linux its not possible.
- In order to have better interface and working performace we can go with windows for personal use.
- For professional use i would say go with linux operating system.
