here are many reasons to use virtualization in a corporate or business environment. The benefits are numerous and well presented in the literature. But there are incentives to use virtualization in a small office or even on home computers. For this discussion research some of the benefits of virtualization for a home or a small office. Answer the following questions:
1) How would you use virtualization for your personal computer needs? What advantages would you have in setting up one or more virtual machines for your home use?
2) Under what conditions would physical servers be more advantageous in a small office with only 1 or 2 servers?

How would you use virtualization for your personal computer needs? What advantages would you have in setting up one or more virtual machines for your home use?
virtualization means that if we are planning to running two or more operating systems one one physical PC then virtualization comes into picture.
Even in big organisations or big companies use the virtualization methods to maintain or develop their productivity.
By using the virtualization we can make our daily activities more efficient and reliable to the users.
If we use virtual machines in personal PC or a laptop for that we need some extra configuration because we cannot run two Virtual machine with 2GB RAM. we can run it 2GB each for VMs.
We must have enough availble space in our system if we are planning for virtual system.
Windows have the capabilities of running multiple application in one box.
The Virtual machine technology help us to enables Windows OS in our PCs to perform multi tasking and we can have the high-performance in our minicomputers.
In order to maintain two Virtual machines in our system we must meet the minimum hardware requirements needed to use Virtual PC.
Virtual system in the laptop or a system can run on both 32-bit or 64-bit systems and with x86 compatible CPU.
We can use different OS in different VMs like if we are using windows in our PC then we can install the linux OS in the virtual machines. so then we can use the linux os on top of windows.
If we are planning for any sofware or database we can plan it on virtual box and we can use it when ever we want.
Advantage of virtual machines in our home:
- we can Run Old Apps and test them in all scenarios and develop new app if possible
- we can Access Virus Infected Data also whenever there is need of securing things
- we can Browse in Complete Safely
- we can Test Software and we can also test New Configurations
- we can build or Run Linux on Top of Windows or vice-versa.

Under what conditions would physical servers be more advantageous in a small office with only 1 or 2 servers?
If we have physical server in our small office we can have benefits like:
- we can have more skillset because with the physical environment it is more easier to maintain a virtual Box.
That means it is less difficult to find someone who can properly manage and maintain our systems.
- We can have more processing power in top of applications which we are using and also we can demand dedicated processing power to run and suit the run of the physical machine.
- we also have a challenges like if we need to perform maintenance in our servers we can plan for a downtime. so it will be more effective than doing it rightway.
- we can have very less capital investment comparing to other investments
- we can have benefits in storage that means we can have dedicated storages for our data in severs.
