This lead to Ruby being accepted into Beacon Academy and go train to become a huntress along side her step-sister Yang Xaio Long. Ruby is the leader of the team "RWBY" which consists of herself, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and her step-sister Yang Xaio Long.
<br>Ruby is a self admitted dork when it comes to weapons, which shows in her complex design and craftsmanship of Crescent Rose, her High-Caliber Sniper-Scythe which she designed herself at Signal, as well as her eye for detail when observing other peoples weapons and tools.(Community, "Ruby Rose").
This weapon can transform between a scythe and a sniper rifle, and can fire Dust rounds in either form with massive force. Rather than compensate for it, Ruby harnesses the recoil to enhance her mobility in combat, firing shots to propel herself short distances, simultaneously attacking and evading opponent. Ruby using this trick along with her semblance makes her almost impossible to keep track of in combat.
It is also capable of using fire and lightning dust.(Community, "Ruby Rose")

<br> Ruby's semblance is speed. She can travle at high velocity but it does come at a cost. As Ruby uses her semblance it also depletes her aura making her more vunerable after long use. When using her semblence it can seem that Ruby is almost invisable to the naked eye. With her speed she can create whirlwinds and knock enemies and objects far away.(Community, "Ruby Rose")
<br> Ruby does have two major weakness.One is that without her weapon the Cresent Rose she is pretty much dependant on her semblance. The other weakness is her cape.
