Question

The language DLL VBE6intl.dll could not be found - ERROR with excel 2007

Hi ladies and gents,

I have a great problem with office 2007, which I cannot solve, although I have been mining the web for solutions since a week.

Running my system on windows 7 pro, I ddecided to install office 2007 instead of my older Office 2003.

Excel though does not run properly. Everytime I try to open it and write s.th into a cell, I get the following error box with only 'OK' as an option button:

Microsoft visual basic: "The language DLL VBE6intl.dll could not be found".

After I press OK, the message appears again. Then I decide to close office, that is when the message appears one third time, and office crashes afterwards.

I have tried to searrch for vbe6intl.dll on my system and i foound it in : C:Program Files (x86)Commmon Filesmicrosoft sharedVBAVBA6C1 .

Please help me with that problem...

Explanation / Answer

I had the same problem although I don't have Google Desktop installed. I have Windows 7 with a Student version of Office 2007 installed. I have uninstalled that version and installed Office Professional Plus 2007 and this is when the problem started. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it without success, the problem was still there. I searched google and didn't find a solution, then I uninstalled a Windows Update for Offfice compatibility that w?as installed automatically aand THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED!
