Question

Opening existing Excel files with a nnew install of Office 2013/365

I have had office 2010 on a Dell laaptop running Windows 7. I just updated to Office 2013/365.

When I try to open an Excel file on my machine by double clicking on it, Excel 2013 opens, but the file is not loaded. If I use the Open command and ask for the file to be loaded, it loads just fine. When I save it and try to reopen it by double clicking I still get Excel opening without the file loading. I tried saving it under a different file name. Same result. I tried using the compatability mode to convert the file and saved it. Same result. I tried creating a new Excel file, saving it and opening it with a double click. Same problem.

Word, Power Point and Puublisher all work just fine.

Any ideas???
