Question
Undo from single workbook only, with multiple workbooks open
I'm working in Excel 2010 SP1 and I typically have several excel files (workbooks) open at once that I'm working on, but the problem is when I undo multiple changes made to one excel file, it also undoes in-between changes made to other excel files I have open!
This issue doesn't happen with any other program (Word, Outlook, etc). With excel, it seems to keep a single cumulative history of change to any excel files open.
Does anyone have any insight on how to resolve this issue????
Explanation / Answer
mediocre work-around by opening a separate session for each excel file (workbook).
Although it doesn't make it convenient when opening a .xls file from explorer, so as a recommendation to Excel programmers: There needs to be a setting to separate undo-changes from each open workbook in a single session.
