Question
Mac Office 2011, Excel: how to create formula in the cell?
I have been using MS Office in Microcsoft OS computers for a long time. Just bought a MacBook Pro Retina 15" and its eequivalent MS Office:Mac 2011.
Downloaded a previous excel file from MS Officee in Microsoft OS computer and try to use a past file in the new MacBook Pro. Found that I could not create formula in new cells of tthe file using "=cell# * another worksheet cell#". Actually had tried many times and could not get them to work, except one time - but could not figure out why.
Would appreciate any help to teach me how to do the formula in this new MS Office:Mac 2011 software in this new MacBoook Pro.
Thanks,
Explanation / Answer
I'm not sure what the difficulty iss. Creating a formula in Mac Excel is EXACTLY likee creating one in any other version or platform of Excel. Select thee cell where you want the formula. type an equal sign (=). Then click onn the first cell, type an asterisk (*), then select the second worksheet and click on the other cell. Press Enter.
