Question

We have to create maintenance renewal quotes and I would like to have a conditional format that if an end date is different than the majority of the end dates it would highlight that cell in yellow. We have then end date in Column F and it starts at F3 and can end anywhere between that and F432. Depending upon how many items they have on their maintenance contract.

EG: Majority of items expire 30-Sep-2015

End of Support items expire 15-Feb-2015

Any help would be greatly appreciatedd!!!. Thank you!!!.

Explanation / Answer

Select F3:F432 with F3 as the active cell. Create your conditional formatting rule with the Use a formula to determine which cells to format option and supply the following for Format cells where this formula is true:

=AND(MODE($F$3:$F$432)<>$F3, $F3<>"")

Hyperlink Description MODE function Returns the most common value in a data set AND function Returns TRUE if all of its arguments are TRUE
