Question
In the past, during visits to the Apple Genius Bar, their techs showed me Get Info where I could change documents that were somehow saved as read only into documents that I could make changes to. Everything on my computer is mine -- I work from home, so am not in an office where documents are shared between people and only certain people have access. I don't even know why this is Read-Only suddenly. I have an Excel spreadsheet I created years ago that I need to make some updates to. I am not able to save the chaanges UNLESS I CHANGE the name of the document which I don't want to ddo. Is there still a way to bring up Get Info in Office applications and change things from Read Only? I thought tit was Command-I, but all that's happening is it turns on Italics. I'm not having luck with Option-I either. Please help me!! Thanks!!
Explanation / Answer
