Question

You work for the hardware division of the Orange computer company. You and your team have been given a stolen sample of your rival company's (Samslug) hardware, which is a small logic unit. The device has three inputs and one output. Your boss has asked you to determine what logical function this unit computes. (Note: your boss is pretty short on patience, so you should simplify your solution, if possible!) Part A: Using your knowledge of Disjunctive Normal Forms, give a detailed description of a method for determining the logical expression that the unit computes. Part B: Your team mate Jon Ivy, has a brilliant idea: Let's start by testing all possible inputs of the device, and producing a truth table. Jon has produced the truth table below. Using your plan from part A, find the logical expression the unit computes. Part C: (BONUS) Thanks to your great reverse engineering, your boss has decided to steal Samslug's design. Your boss wants you to create a hardware design for the above logic function using NAND operators only. Refer to the wikipedia article on NAND logic" to see (1) the symbol for a NAND gate, and (2) implementations of other operators in terms of NAND. Additionally, to keep costs down, you need to use as few NAND gates as possible. Submit your logic circuit diagram, as well as evidence that it is correct. You may use a truth table, statement algebra, or a combination in your demonstration.

Explanation / Answer

Explained Everything Clearly , Plzz Do rate , Thanks :)

Part A :-

Notice that we clearly know all varieties of input. Our desired output is specified. We

desire to know a logical expression that will produce the given output. To do this we

circle each of the output labeled
