1.In my views, New London is treating Susette Kelo and her neighbors fairly. The government is ready to pay fair compensation to the stakeholders. Also the land will be used for the betterment of the society as it is planned that the land will be used for attracting new development. This, in return, will attract more investors and more revenue in the city. Job avenues for the residents of the city will also increase. The land will be used for the greater good, hence the sacrifice of Susette Kelo and her neighbors will be worthy.
New London government is acquiring their property as per the principle of eminent domain right. They are ready to pay just compensation to the property owners. So, the treatment is pretty fair.
2. The social policies of towns like New London are aiming for the betterment of society as a whole. Moreover, any land or property is getting acquired by the government only for the sake of development and revitalization of the community as a whole. if my property is located in a prime area, which can be used in a better way, I will be happy to take the just compensation and relocate as then my property can be served for better good and will become a famous public area as well. I can always relate my emotions to the place. The overall impact of such policies is positive and towards progressive societies.
