Question

Luckily, SRSS just received a $20,000 grant that may be used for any type of technology that enables the organization to serve clients more thoroughly and promptly. With this money, what range of converged services could SRSS implement? Which of the services would benefit its clients the most? After doing some research, create a budget for the $20,000 grant that includes hard ware, software, consultation, and training. should research some of the most reliable, turnkey VoIP and Video-over-IP solutions available. Ease of use and management should be priorities when assessing systems, as should reliability and the capability for expansion. Students should be able to name every piece of hardware and software required for the system they choose. They should also obtain pricing (if necessary, requesting it from a vendor). Besides VoIP for SRSS staff, videoconferencing might be a good use of the grant money, which may cut travel time and costs and serve remote clients better.

Explanation / Answer

As a manager i would spend $20,000 as follows.

Video-Over- IP would benefit the most, this is because with Video-Over-IP also comes the VOIP service. So when we buy a Video-Over-IP product it can handle both voice and video Teleconferencing.

When we buy a Video-OIP product documentation and tutorials comes free with it, so usually there is no need to have an additional Training or there are freely availabe training videos, tuts most of the time to train employees on how to use these products.

For example one of the more popular tool would be

TeamViewer : The Enterprise version of the same would cost anywhere between $2,000 - $3,000

In addition to these we might require additiona hardware infrastructure, like cameras, microsphones , Computers etc.And also we will require additional support staffs too.

This might cost around $10,000 to $15,000

We could also buy a Dial Free Phone no so that customers need not spend money on the calls.Free Dial no would cost between $2,000 - $3,000.
