Michael returned from the Iraq war. It was an event in his life which swept him off his feet. It was like a living nightmare. Though the event passed, it left him with nightmares of the attacks at the war. It shatters any individual to witness such events. However, the consequences of the events are slowly adjusted to. It takes about a month for a person to be able to adapt and be back to living his normal life. If the symptoms last for longer than two months, it is diagnosed as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). PTSD is characterized by constant anxiety, fear and distressing memories.
