The table below provides the four kinds of operant conditioning as they apply to dog training.  

After reviewing these examples, create two examples from each category but apply them to human behavior.

You will provide 2 examples of positive reinforcement;

2 examples of negative reinforcement;

2 examples of positive punishment and

2 examples of negative punishment.

Remember, Reinforcement = increasing behavior and Punishment = decreasing behavior. Positive = applying something to increase or decrease behavior and Negative = removing something to increase or decrease behavior.

Explanation / Answer

This is very intresting assignment. We see that postive and negative reeinforcement and punishment really shapes a person into a desirable behaviour. I would state some examples which I apply apply for my child and some examples from what we we see around the world

1) Positive reeinforcement - a) Declaring employee of the month or the start employee in the quarter in an organization so that it boosts the employee more to work hard. b) Giving my child a candy whenever he behaves well, so that he behaves well everytime

2) Negative reeinforcement - b) Grading an employee as last or second last grade during appriasal so that ihe imporves his behaviour and spends more time on the quality work. b) Telling child in stern voice about the behaviour which you have not liked.

3) Positive punishment - a) Giving my child more home work than usual instead of playing, so that it is useful also and stubbornness decreases. b) Talking in sarcastic but mild way with friends or husband in order to decerase the behvaiour such as coming late, not sharing any responsibility.

4) Negative punishment - Giving my child a beating if situation goes out of control, he screams or yells at small things. b) Not having a word with husband if he priorotizing only himself and not the family members.
